Sammy's Fip Story

We got Sammy from the pound in November. He was about 8 months old, and he was a rescue from a hoarding situation. We soon realized that something wasn’t quite right with him; he wouldn’t play, he didn’t eat much, and he was very lethargic for a kitten. When I took him to the vet, he identified Sammy’s wet FIP, and got his colleague to confirm. When he told me that our little boy would be dead within 3 weeks, my heart sank. We had just lost another cat to kidney disease the year before, and this was such depressing news. My vet told me about FIPwarriors, but I was very sceptical, especially with its 'grey-side-of-the-law' drugs. Despite the cost, we had to give it a shot. Though we had only had Sammy for a month or so, we had already fallen in love with him. We got Sammy the Lucky brand of medication. We chose this one because it had pills as well as needles. We gave him shots for the first month or so, and then moved onto the pills. For the first week, things were rough, and we thought we might lose him. But he kept fighting, got rid of the fluid he’d been carrying around in his belly, and started to put on some healthy weight. As treatment progressed, we could see our boy getting better and better. And after his full treatment and completed observation period, I am so happy to say Sammy is now FIP-free! He is a healthy, active, crazy, affectionate, sweet cat! Thank you so much to the people at FIPwarriors (not sure if I should mention them by name). If it wasn’t for their guidance, Sammy would surely be dead. If God is a cat, these people will have a comfortable after-life.
