SIGGI'S FIP STORY

Siggi is our 7 (ish) year old flamepoint Siamese cat who we adopted from a Shelter in the Kootenays in 2019 - a few months prior to losing my Dad. Siggi is truly a one of a kind soul mate cat to both my fiancé Kaio and I. When Siggi started getting sick in early summer of 2021 - there was no doubt in our minds that we would do whatever it took to save him.
After visiting two different vets and getting a final diagnosis of Dry FIP, we were left feeling devastated and hopeless. Our vet ominously recommended we check out the FIP Facebook group. To this day I will be forever grateful for that one veterinarian who went against telling us to put Siggi down - and instead recommended a simple search for a potential “cure”.

We got in contact with our FIP Admin Jamie who was available for every single one of my questions and concerns - morning noon and night. She was integral to guiding us through Siggi’s treatment and putting our anxiety at ease.

After 103 days of treatment, 84 days of observation, and his blood work finally came back clean!

It’s been 1.5 years now, and Siggi is a happy, slightly overweight (crazy knowing he was just 7lbs at his sickest weight) he is full of personality and cuddles, and will not hesitate to let us know when it’s time for breakfast or dinner. We recently adopted a friend for him, a sweet grey calico named Billie. They are pals and living a very happy content life here in Burnaby BC.

This group of FIP warriors and Admins are absolutely amazing. This treatment WORKS. I can’t wait for the day it becomes more readily available to the public so more FIP kitties can have a second chance.

If you and your kitty are just starting out on your FIP journey; please know it is so worth it. It’s a hard journey, but if you have made it this far into reading testimonials, I know for a FACT that you are a loving cat parent looking for the best solution for your feline companion.
This is the place - you’ve found it!
