BELLA BLUE'S FIP STORY
I adopted my beautiful baby girl Bella Blue at 4 ½ months old in September 2021. At theend of December 2021, her belly started to fill with fluid. She went from ahappy, playful kitty, to laying in a corner of my room, not playing, and barelyeating or drinking. A trip to the emergency vet on January 8, 2022, and I wasgiven the devastating diagnosis of fatal wet FIP, and told Bella had 2 weeks orless to live. This wonderful vet also told me there was an unapproved treatmentoption available, but that all he could tell me was to seek out the FacebookWarrior Group. Those firstfew days were a blur of emotions, uncertainty, and fear. I contacted theWarriors and within hours connected with an admin, and Bella started hertreatment soon after. Treatment was super stressful, and if not for theguidance and support from my Warrior admins,I don’t know how I would have made it through! They were there day and night toanswer questions, provide information and guidance and let me know I was notalone. The same goes for the FIP Warrior Support Group. These wonderful groupmembers understood the stress and anxiety of treatment. The posts of support andunderstanding made such a difference!Fast forwardto June 24, 2022 – my baby was CURED of FIP!!!!!She is now happy, healthy, and living her best life!! Bella wasthe first cat at our local vet clinic to complete the treatment. My own vet andthe emergency vet we saw during treatment were 100% supportive of thetreatment. They even went so far as to do research and support allrecommendations made by my Warrior admins. The treatment truly is a miracle curefor FIP, and it saved my Bella’s life. I have attached a picture of Bella Blue at the time of her adoption, at the time of her diagnosis, and one from today. Sincerely, Angie
