FELIX'S FIP STORY
Around 7 months ago we noticed our Felix wasn't acting like himself. He was only 4 months old but he was becoming very slow all of a sudden and slowly stopped eating. After a couple of weeks going back and forth to the vet we were finally told that Felix had wet FIP. The vet told us that unfortunately it is fatal, but she had received information about a medication that has been shown to be effective against FIP. She provided us with the Facebook information for FIP Warriors and that same night we were put in touch with Support Team. With their help we were able to secure the FIP medication for Felix and administer our first dose the very next day. Support Team immediately began to work with us to provide us with all the information and resources we would need for the next 6 months. Within the first 5-7 days we began to see a very positive improvement in Felix's condition and started to feel hopeful. Over the next few months, Support Team were so incredibly helpful with the entire process. From monitoring Felix's weekly weigh ins to reviewing his blood work and making sure we were always able to receive our medication quickly enough that we never had to miss a dose. After 14 weeks of treatment and 12 weeks of observation, Felix was finally deemed cured on May 31, 2022. We can safely say that if it weren't for the help of Support Team, Felix wouldn't be here today. After his diagnosis he likely wouldn't have made it through the weekend but fortunately for us Support Team were able to get us up and running almost immediately. We can't begin to thank them enough for everything they have done for us. Thank you! Luis and Catherine
