Molé's Fip Story

Our little black panther, Molé, became a fussy eater and lost his appetite in December 2020 (approx 1 year 6 months). Since we previously lost our beautiful ginger cat Mango to unknown illness, we immediately took Molé to the vet for a check-up and blood work. I did not expect hearing from the vet that Molé was suspected of having Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). I knew nothing! But asked the kind vet, what she would feel if her cat had it. She said she would cry, because there was no cure. However the kind vet (Heather J) told me about the FIP warriors Facebook page. I immediately looked it up and discussed the process with my husband. We had to try. Our administrator was amazing...Thank you Jaime Fipcat, and after doing copious amounts of research, we started on the treatment January 2021. Locally, a woman had immediate meds. We took a leap of faith, and are we glad we did. And Molé was a superset! The injections were a bit tricky to learn, but we were determined and sought out the excellent tutorials available online through the FIP Warriors. They were amazing. And during the process Jaime was to attentive and provided immediate support whenever we needed advise, or meds. Luckily we were able to provide Molé with consistent mediation throughout his treatment, over 110 days. And after 84 days of observation...our little Molé is a happy, energetic loveable and healthy cat. Even though I was the one giving the injections, he still loves me and cuddles every night. Our cats are our family, and we are so glad to have taken the journey and still have little Molé with us. Thank you Jaime, and all the administrators who are selfishly providing this life saving treatment. Also many thanks to our Vets, Heather J and Corrine C for their support and encouragement. You all ROCK and the treatment works. Have faith.
